Enterprise Foundation |
|
The
Youth Enterprise Foundation (YEF) is a foundation or a public limited
company focusing on youth
entrepreneurship,
business and development of financial markets. The YEF is designed
as a self-sustaining
venture, funded
by shares owned by young people, governments and other stakeholders.
The government’s role
decreases
as more and more young people buy into the venture.
The
concept of the Youth Enterprise Foundation was developed for the
Government of Maldives, with the
intention of
adapting it for other member countries. It is aimed at addressing
the increasing need for small-scale
enterprise
and business development for young people.

The
Commonwealth Asia Forum of Junior Chambers |
The
Commonwealth Asia Forum of Junior Chambers (C7-JC) is a regional
network, of young professionals and
business
people, expected to enhance co-operation among young people of the
Commonwealth Asia region. It aims
to
promote, facilitate and develop enterprises, entrepreneurship, business
skills, values, ethics, mentorship and
leadership.
It was instituted on 20 November 2002 in Singapore, by CYP Asia
Centre, as an outcome of the Asia
Regional
Consultation on Youth Chambers of Commerce. The C7-JC also aims
to establish Junior Chambers in
member
countries, which do not have Chapters of Junior Chambers. The young
members plan to maximise existing
resources
and linkages in line with the ‘Youth for the Future’
initiative, launched by the Commonwealth Heads of
Government
in March 2002, to enable young people to become better leaders and
entrepreneurs.
