Professionalisation
of Youth Work
Development
of Young people cannot be separated from society as a whole. Today,
young people below 25 years of age account for 70% of the population
of many Developing countries. 700 million are entering the workforce
between 2000 and 2010. Young people cannot succeed in fulfilling
the roles and expectations of society if complementary social
changes do not take place to empower and support them

Workshop
on Building High Performance Teams
In
modern societies, there is a great need for developing leaders
who can address the complex, multifaced challenges of the
21st century. Ancient Indian wisdom teaches us that our first
responsibility is to the community, second to our family and
third to ourselves. When this hierarchy is reversed, a society
starts degenerating. Social responsibility ought to be the
moral obligation of every citizen. Responsibility and freedom
go hand in hand. To contribute effectively, one needs skills
just like carpenters who need hammers and drills.
