Our work in this area recognises that young people, youth leaders and youth workers all bring experiences and   perspectives to the leaning environment and, through formal and non-formal training, creates opportunities for   them  to contribute to building a professional youth service. Through this programme, CYP plans to develop and   promote the profession of youth work, guided by a code of practice and supported by regulatory mechanisms.  This   will be informed by the lessons and experiences gained from the CYP Diploma in Youth Development and   short   courses delivered across the Commonwealth over the past five years.
