CYP Asia Centre has been training professional youth development
workers since its inception in 1974.Since 1998, the Youth in Development
training has been offered in a distance-learning format that is
accessible and flexible. Prior to 1998, it was a residential course
administered from the Centre. As of 2003 CYP Asia Centre offers
the Professional Diploma in Youth in Development Work, in partnership
with national open university systems in four Asian Commonwealth
countries.

The Diploma in Youth in Development Work is internationally
certified through the University of Huddersfield (UK). It consists
of 13 core course modules one action research and two regionally
specific modules. |
As
part of the Youth Work Education and Training portfolio, CYP Asia
Centre publishes modules and manuals for use in the Asia Region.
The Centre has been declared by the United Nations Economic &
Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP) as an advanced
center of learning and training on Youth and Human development Issues.
